If I remember correctly, the Fonda/Kerry photo was shown because it was fake (and shown to be so by bloggers I believe) and they wanted everyone to know that. They also showed the un-doctored photo and criticised those who were responsible for the fake. This is a far far cry from how CBS has behaved thus far.

I can’t recall how the photo was presented, but I do remember Hume identifying it as fake.
