Olympic Challenge

I would like all of you who claim to not believe the US is the greatest place in the world, those who would say we are somehow less than the rest of the world, to spend the next two weeks without ever cheering for an American athlete.

Go on…. See if you can do it.

  1. Too easy, I could care less about pseudo-amateur athletics anymore. When the rest of the world was throwing professionals at us and we were sending “true amateurs” I could root. Not any longer tho, for as soon as the coach gets paid, all amateurism disappears.

  2. Burn Strawman, burn!

But, as Bill Maher said recently:

New Rule: Cheering for Lance Armstrong doesn’t make you an international cycling aficionado. Unless you can name one other rider in the Tour de France in the last 100 years, you’re not a fan, you’re just someone who likes it when America beats foreigners. And by the way, you’re also not a tennis expert if you like watching Russian teenagers bounce up and down. You’re just a perv.
