This is Birdie’s new job in his brigade.
Not too bad for a snot-nosed kid. We’ll, I guess he has grown up.

Hell yeah
I’m jealous.
I’d love to get into that once I love this cesspool. I’d especially be interested in the MK19 and .50 cal portion, since I’ve always been heavy weapons.
Any idea whether they are going to make it an available course of instruction? Or is it always going to be at BN/BDE level?

Have to check the link, Drill Sergeant. From what I’ve read, this is something the 82nd has adopted from what the Armor guys have been doing for some time. Birdie works for the commander and SGM, and is responsible for being the expert on all weapons, as well as coodinating all weapons training. He’s pretty excited about it.

Drill Sergeant, Most of the light units are adapting this new technique. It is a better way for the LTC or COL to know how well and what their units are doing as far as training goes. Especially since I report to the LTC and CSM only. I also have free rein on different ranges and what I can do on those ranges when schedualing training. I also get to test new equuipment. On the 8th I get tol test the new XM-8. I will tell you what I think about it after that.
