Iraq link

Filed under: International — Bunker @ 11:34 am

Were Iraq and al-Qaeda linked? Richard Clarke used to think so, as Christopher Hitchens points out in Slate.

He also points out that Clarke was considered a royal pain in the ass in the Clinton White House, although he was generally right. Which makes his pain-in-the-assedness even worse.

  1. Check out one of the Saturday articles on http://www.opinionjournal.com.

I’m still convinced Iraq had something to do with the WTC/Pentagon and the anthrax attacks. I’m sure it will all come out soon enough.

  2. Folks, Slice should know. He was in charge of a team cleaning up the Senate office buildings when the anthrax scare occurred.

  3. Saddam, al-Qaeda, and Clarke (oh, my!)
Christopher Hitchens finds that, when Clinton was in office, Richard Clarke argued that Saddam & al-Qaeda were linked, something he denies now (via Bunker Mulligan).
