Kids as Pawns

This makes me sick to my stomach.

  1. Based on the title of this post, I guess you’re mainly sickened by the fact that some adult probably sent that kid in as a cheap stunt. I’d agree with that, if that’s how it played out. But I’d also agree that putting the kid in handcuffs and arresting him is also just wrong, wrong, wrong.

  2. The boy and his adult mentors got exactly the image they wanted. They had to know he could never get to her, and that she couldn’t swallow any water he took in. So, it would not surprise me that he insisted on being cuffed.
