Of course, that is precisely what some in State and Congress fear–the loss of future employment at huge salaries to act as lobbyists for the princes.
this is a harder problem, because just changing Iraq will not stop the Saudis from doing things like this. it will provide others the opportunity to say things that oppose them in that forum, however.
somehow the Saudis have to begin to respect human life, publicly and privately. we may have to make some adjustments in the next while.
