Off to Bryan for the day. Birdie gets a week off before heading out to Afghanistan, and we are meeting there for a baby shower in honor of his lovely bride. He and I and his father-in-law will sit around and try to stay out of the women’s way for a couple of hours.
No golf today. Instead, I’m doing laundry and dishes. A man’s work is never done.
I went to a Beer Exchange in Omaha before Christmas that was started by 4 guys who were ‘hiding out’ in the rec room while their wives held a cookie exchange upstairs. They started it several years ago, and now the event brings in 20-25 couples, there is a trophy plaque, everybody gets a shot glass and votes on each of the beers that are provided by the guests – what a Hoot!

Sounds like a great idea, but I had to drive back last night!

I’m so happy to know I am not the only blessed female in America. I know, full well, that Mrs. Mulligan has not emasculated you, Bunker…anymore than I have in our household. Men are just supremely educable! God Bless you, one and all! 😉
