Some Friends

Filed under: General — Bunker @ 3:46 pm

I want to thank the folks out there who bothered to come by and visit this site last year. And I want to thank my friends who own the following sites:

They are the Top 10, where most of my visitors came from. What that means is that they and their readers saw fit to spend a little time on Bunker Mulligan’s course. I stopped at ten–there are some others quite close but I didn’t want to extend the list too far.

They are also a pretty good group, and their sites are worth visiting. So, if any of my readers aren’t checking them out, do it. Now. And they are always linked on the left here in my clubhouse along with some other quality sites.

  1. Always glad to stop by the ol’ Mulligan headquarters! Frankly though, I get a little embarassed as you have more updated and to the point posts than I do over at the Big Gold Dog Pound. Keep up the good work.

  2. Bunker, I remember being amazed at your blog and reading it for a long time before I clicked on your stats and saw that you only had about 35 visitors per day (this was right when you started.) I knew that was a travesty, and I’m glad that some people who found me were able to find you too. They got the better end of the deal when they ended up on your blog.

  3. I haven’t visited in a long while. I sure have missed your point of view though!! I bought myself a laptop before Thanksgiving and didn’t move my favorites. I’m finally finding time this weekend to search up my favorite blogs and start visiting them again. As always, I identify with 99% of everything you say and catch myself nodding in agreement as I read.

Once my husband got back from Iraq, as you can imagine, my computer time was reduced drastically :). It’s been so great having him home with us again. Three months home – things finally not feeling so emotional after a year of living in fear, and they were put on notice they are heading back. Guess I’ll start my Deployment Diary back up sooner than I thought lol. Such is life as an Army wife ha ha!!

Anyhow, so great to be back reading your blog. I sure have missed your wisdom!!

  4. Shannon, I checked your site again just the other day. Once the old man got home you simply dumped the rest of us!

Sarah, I’m all the way up to just over 300 now. That’s fine with me–minimizes the amount of bandwidth I have to buy. And never sell yourself short. Just don’t let the trolls get to you–that’s why they keep coming back.

Wallace, you provide just the right touch. When your chest and back are better, you’ll once again provide the insightful tales we’ve grown accustomed to.

    I love having quality friends.

  5. Well, I still ran my main website for a while (recently shut the forum down there for sanity’s sake), but blogging I did stop once he returned.

I’m not sure if I’d told you that the company I had designed the web sites for while he was deployed ended up hiring me to do the monthly updates to their sites. At any rate, each month it seemed that the work load increased and by this month I’m doing triple the amount of hours they hired me for. I’m enjoying the paycheck but the stress has been a bit overwhelming lately lol. Between working, the two little ones and my husband finally being home I couldn’t find the hours in the day to read my favorite blogs much less keep one of my own lol. Plus, you all write more interesting things than I. Once he gears up to go again, I’ll probably do Diary number II lol. Until then, I’m going to enjoy soaking up some wisdom from you and a few other of my favorite blogs though…
