Okay. I’m almost there. Last night I took out my copy of HTML for the World Wide Web and started reading the style sheet section again. I bought this book about a year ago when I first started up, but it makes much more sense, now.
At least I have the semblance of a scheme in place. I thought some of the issues were with the changeover from the old host, but I named my new style sheet with some spaces, and UNIX doesn’t like spaces in file names. I forgot.
The links within the post area are still showing up white. I can’t discern why, but Bogey will help me solve the problem tonight. Links are there, but you have to hover the cursor to see them. Kinda like being on a scavenger hunt!
I’ve avoided any newscasts or political discussions today. I’m not interested. I’ll find out in the morning. And what a relief it will be.
Remember the block I gave you to style the story titles? You can just create a similar block of styles, replacing
.storytitle
with#content
. Put it before the block of storytitle styles in your CSS. For usability purposes, I strongly recommend you leave underlining turned on for most of your content links. The lack of underlines is more acceptable in post titles and in your sidebar, but links within your posts really should have ’em.Comment by Bogey — November 2, 2004 @ 1:40 pm
